Consumer information

Ombudsman Real Estate IVD/VPB – Duty to inform according to § 36 VSBG
The German Real Estate Association IVD e.V., with the participation of the consumer association Verband Privater Bauherren e.V. (VPB) has established a conciliation body in accordance with the Consumer Dispute Settlement Act (VSBG). Among other things, disputes between consumers and members of the IVD can be settled before the conciliation board in an out-of-court conciliation procedure.
Wentzel Dr. Immobilienmanagement GmbH is a member of the IVD and due to the statutes of the IVD is obliged to give a written statement to the ombudsman’s office if it initiates proceedings. As a matter of principle, Wentzel Dr. Immobilienmanagement GmbH does not participate in arbitration proceedings at other arbitration boards.
The address of the conciliation body of the IVD is: Ombudsmann Immobilien IVD/VPB – Grunderwerb und -verwaltung, Littenstraße 10, 10179 Berlin. Further information on the arbitration board (e.g., further communication data, rules of procedure) can be found at https://www.ombudsmann-immobilien.net.
Online dispute resolution pursuant to Art. 14 (1) ODR Regulation.
The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (OS), which you can find here: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
With the recognition of the Real Estate Ombudsman as a dispute resolution body within the meaning of the VSBG and the participation of the VPB, the Rules of Procedure have changed in parts. This concerns, for example, the area of responsibility, which has been extended to construction contracts. Further information on the rules of procedure and the course of proceedings can be found on the website of the ombudsman’s office.
